Sunday Bore-Day

Usually I enjoy my Sunday's, just because it is usually a get "stuff done" and hang out in sweats all day. Today unfortunately is not one of those days. I have errands to do and a to do list that keeps getting bigger and longer every day that passes. I'm assuming its because each day is a day closer to my move up to Whitehorse.

So I spent my Saturday night cleaning my makeup brushes and organizing my make-up so I wouldn't have to do it closer to the move. It really is a scary thing when you take all that you own out and look....thank fully I bought so much from E.L.F in December I'm probably set for a year or two! (Seriously, it was a close call to having an intervention!)

I cleaned my brushes, which one, I have way more than I thought, two it took me a lot longer than I thought it would! So here is my collection of lipsticks, glosses, mascara etc., etc. I only took pictures of what I own mostly from E.L.F because that is what I use mostly, there are other things too but my battery died on my camera.

First off, quite a while back I posted what I had ordered from my latest haul from Elf, this was during their "Mystery Bag" promotion.

Studio Glossy Lip gloss in Chicago, Super Glossy Lip Gloss,Gem Nail File, Face Powder Mineral Brush, Smokey Eye shadow Palette ( I already had this :( , Every Day Eye palette

So over all I was a tad disappointed with the Mystery Bag. I mean I was stoked that I got it all free for spending $20, but I saw what other people got in theirs and was sad because I had already had 4 of these items! So I gave the ones I didn't need to my friends! The Super Glossy Lip Gloss is my favorite from this bag, it has such a nice color (I don't know what one it is, it doesn't say on the tube)

So moving on to my brush cleaning and most of my other E.L.F items. A few of these are my absolute favourite items I have ever bought. A lot of them I would recommend in a heart beat!
I have never owned anything from MAC or other high end makeup products so I really don't know how to compare it to bigger brands, but I can vouch for Elf for beating drugstores brands right out of the water.

So here is most of what I own from Elf, trust me not all of it is here. Most of it is studio items, I think I'm drawn towards the nice black packaging. My HD Powder is my lifesaver, I love this and will never stop buying it, It replaces powder and gives my face a nice "matte" look which looks really flawless. I also love the All Over Stick ( Essential Item), When I want a dewy look to my face i use this. The mineral foundation is another absolute love, the only thing is that it is in such a small container, so I use small amounts! EyeLid Primer, is a must. This kept my makeup in the EXACT same spot on New Years and I woke up with my eyemake up the exact same, and trust me it was a wild night for that makeup to survive through. For only a $1, it really doesn't get any better than this primer.

These are my assortment of cleaned face brushes. I had no idea I had so many of these until it took me over 20 minutes to clean them. I never knew how to use a Fan Brush, until now. And it is amazing how much of a difference it makes on how your bronzer and blush look, it gives is a natural look. The Elf Essentials Angled brush is incredible buy as well,  giving my cheekbones wonderful defitnition when applied correctly. I also love love love love! the Elf Studio Powder brush. I use this after i put on foundation and it rids of any streaks or blobs that the Elf studio foundation brush tends to leave.

The angled eyeliner brush from Elf is a defitnite need for doing a perfect cat-eye or angled wing look!
I also love my "C" brush. The rest are sometimes never used and a few get used every day.

I was never really into lipstick and lipgloss for the longest time. I was too afraid to wear something bold, or something that makes my lips all shiny. I guess I didn't want to look like someone from the 90'2 with that lipliner thing going on, but I have slowly gotten into using them and I love the essential Lipsticks. Captivating is my favorite by far followed my pouty petal from the studio line. I always forget to try to wear one every day to just expeirment, but I am learning what works well with what kind of face make-up I am already wearing.

So there ya have it, again not all of my makeup is here. If it were, we would be possibly writing a short novel. I never regret buying what I have, because in the end I find a way to use it to my advantage and make it work.

Have a lovely Sunday-Bore-day everyone!
